100.83 carat D Colour Type II gem quality
209.9 carat D colour Type II gem quality
425.10 carat D colour Type II gem quality
The recoveries demonstrate the prevalence of these types of stones in the Cullinan orebody and the ability of the mine's plant to recover the full spectrum of diamonds.
The Large Diamond Recovery Plant at the Cullinan Diamond Mine uses Bourevestnik X-ray luminescence sorters – 10 machines are currently in operation allowing the processing of -60mm +8mm mill-product material directly via X-ray sorters without the application of Dense Media Separation. The above Type II stones were recovered using Bourevestnik LS-20-09L high-throughput X-ray luminescence primary sorters and an LS-OD-75 X-ray luminescence reconcentration sorter.
