A diamond weighing 390.7 carats was found at Mayat diamond mine (Sakha Republic) by Almazy Anabara company. This is the largest diamond found in Russia for the last 10 years. A light crystal of non-standard shape with a yellow-brown halo is a unique find today.
The found diamond was recovered using the LS-50-05 X-ray luminescence sorter for primary enrichment and LS-OD-50-03N for the final concentrate treatment. This set of sorters is able to process run-of-mine in a size range from 5 mm to 50 mm and with a throughput of up to 30 t/h and 99% recovery level. The sorters are integrated in the mineral processing of ALROSA and supplied by Bourevestnik in 2016.
