General-purpose X-ray diffractometer DRON-7 is capable to fulfill a wide range of powder diffraction studies. Independent control of 2q и q movements allows using the instrument for some diffraction studies of single crystals.
X-ray diffractometer DRON-7 provides the following X-ray diffraction techniques for different areas of application:
- qualitative and quantitative phase analysis of crystalline materials, including tracing of chemical reactions and polymorph screening in changeable sample environment (temperature, atmospheric pressure, gas filling);
- determination of single crystal orientation;
- texture and residual stress investigations;
- determination of different structural characteristics, including refinement of atomic structure from precise X-ray diffraction data.
Multifunctional X-ray diffractometer DRON-8 with a vertical theta-theta goniometer and horizontal sample position is capable to fulfill non-destructive studies of phase composition, structural state and orientation of a wide range of materials and objects, including:
- liquids (solutions and melts);
- nanomaterials and nanocomposites;
- thin films and coatings;
- oddly shaped bulk samples;
- large metalware;
- single crystal plates of large diameter;
- other irregular samples with different size and shape (crystal boules, natural geological and biological samples, art and archeological pieces, etc.).
